The work spindle designed with NN bearing offers heavy duty load capacity, optimal rotation accuracy and high rigidity. The servo motor drive offers consistent speed and torque when the grinding operation takes place.
There is a positive purge system which keeps grinding swarf and coolant out of the work head and hence ensures long lifespan.
Rigid Machine Base
The machine base is designed to be rigid so that the table is fully supported on both ends. This is a heavily ribbed box-type base which is made up of Meehanite casting.
It has excellent rigidity and maintains the stability of the machine.
Wheel Head Spindle Bearing Options
Contact bearing type spindle is easy to maintain, environment friendly and minimizes thermal growth issues.
Hydrodynamic Babbit Bearing Type Spindle is made up of SNCM220 super alloy steel.
Multiple heat treatments increase the hardness of the surface of the spindle up to HRC 62. These features ensure maximum cutting capability and best finish performance in the grinding operation.
The tailstock has a coolant nozzle installed on the top for cooling the center tip. There is an air floating device which facilitates smoother movement and protection of the table.
- Optional tailstock quill travel of 75 mm helps load/unload the workpiece easily. The quill is oil-bathed to enable
- Optional tailstock taper adjustment feature helps to easily adjust for taper error.
X – Axis Guideways
The hand scraped Double V guideways offer maximum support to the wheel head resulting in greater stability and grinding capacity.
This design ensures superior accuracy and prolonged life of the machine.
